Serengeti Serena Lodge
The Basics:
The Serengeti Serena Lodge is built on the side of a low sloping hill.
Like the Serengeti Seronera Wildlife Lodge it offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti below.
All the rooms are in bungalow cottages that can only be described as above ground hobbit homes.
The rooms are on the small side as per the norm for Serena lodges.
And, as usual, to make up for the small rooms, the cuisine is excellent and location fantastic.
The Photos:

Each cottage has three rooms.
Two on the bottom and one on top.
Obviously it's better to be on top and we always try our best to put clients there.
Those trees there are young thorny acacia trees.

The view here is fantastic.
Each cottage offers views like this.
This is a generally more hilly area in the southern Serengeti.
The view is less expansive, but still one of a kind incredible.

The semi-circle shaped pool overlooking the Serengeti below.
If you are returning for lunch on your safari why not eat it here, by the poolside, under the shade of an acacia tree?

The rooms are all pretty much like this.
This one is one of the downstairs units.
Each comes with a patio, chair, and private bathroom.
The automatic mosquito net is a nice touch.
