Ngorongoro Farmhouse
The Basics:
The Ngorongoro Farmhouse is one of the nicest places to stay when lodging in the Karatu area.
Karatu is a town that is situated conveniently between three different safari parks so it's a bustling with places for people to lodge.
The Ngorongoro Farmhouse is ostensibly in Karatu, but lies about 20 minutes outside of town and that makes all the difference.
The feeling here is pastoral.
The view from your rooms, the dining area, the walkways, just about everywhere,
is of a rolling grassy land that is spotted with trees that seems to extend on into infinity.
There is an organic herb and vegetable garden.
The paths are lined with flower filled bushes that attract the diminutive bright yellow weaver bird and
fill the air with the scent of African Sunflower and Angel Trumpet.
If you are on site at 4pm you can go on a coffee tour where the lodge host will show you how coffee is picked,
milled, ground, and eventually, brewed and and then drunk (by you!).
The Photos:

The typical room.
High ceilings, comfortable beds, nice furniture, private bathroom.

Another shot of inside the room.
A fireplace, of course, extra sitting chairs and a coffee table.
Even a little antique mirrored vanity.
Everything is very well made and of high quality.

Most of the rooms here are shared wall bungalows.
Some singles are available.
Here's the view from the outside looking in.

And now the view from the inside looking out.
From your private patio you'll see nothing but grass and scattered trees for miles and miles.

Here's that view again.
This time from the raised up wooden deck that overlooks the rooms and gardens.
This deck is just outside the restaurant.
The perfect place to relax after dinner with your tasty beverage after a long day on safari.

The pool here is a pretty standard affair, but with nice artistic rock tiling surrounding it.
