Lodging in Tanzania


There is a wide range of accommodation available in Tanzania. Your safari price is based largely on the number of people in your group and the accommodation level you choose. We provide three levels of accommodation. When you book a Fancy ( ) vacation package with us you'll be lodging in the three star accommodations as I've rated them.

You can find personal reviews of every lodge I've visited or stayed at by clicking the links above. Each has a rating from two to four stars. Read below to get a general idea of what to expect from us when choosing an accommodation level.


NICE This is your basic hotel lodging. It is not camping. Your room will be clean with good bed(s), electricity, and mosquito net. You'll have your own bathroom, flush toilet, and hot shower. There will be an restaurant where you will select your meals from a tasty but limited menu. There will usually be other amenities like a bar and garden courtyard.


FANCY Fancy is just like Nice, but everything is a couple steps better. The furniture is better quality. The location will be more scenic and beautiful. The food selection will be tastier and more varied and the bar will have a wider selection. Usually there is a pool and many have fireplaces in each room.


HIGH END The name pretty much says it all. These places would rival anything you could get here in terms of comfort, luxury, catering, and scenery. High End accommodation will have just about everything that Nice and Fancy places have, and will usually be found in a unique and very desirable location.
