The Basics:
The Impala Hotel has just about everything you'd expect from a 10 story hotel near the town center;
pool, a variety of rooms, internet, phone, cable tv, photocopying, 4 restaurants, etc.
It's a busy place and the clientele seems to be a 50/50 mix between local business people and safari travelers.
For the safari adventurer,
the Impala is a great place to stay in Arusha if you are looking for lower price accommodation in a decent location.
Or if you just want to stay in town rather than outside of town.
If you are on a higher budget I would suggest picking something else unless you just need to be in town for some reason.
The reason for this is that even though the Impala is nice, it does have the look like it was decorated in a hurry.
Things are sometimes just a bit chincy.
Instead of paying a lot to stay at the Impala's executive suite you might consider spending you money elsewhere
The Photos:

One of the suite bedrooms.
Behind the wall behind the bed is a very large private furnished living room.
There is plenty of space in these suites.

The bathrooms in the suites are very nice.
Yes, that is a jacuzzi bathtub.

One of the regular double rooms.

Looking out from the same room.
Even the regular rooms have a TV and usually a window with a view.
To the left there is your own little balcony.

Loading and unloading and check in are done here.
If you'd like to buy a wooden statue such as the ones you see here when you are in
Tanzania then please be wary when buying ebony.
It's hard to tell real ebony from the many fakes these days so unless you know what you are doing you might get ripped off.
And really, it's not too ethical to be encouraging deforestation of rare ebony trees anyway.
