Dik Dik Hotel star star star

The Basics:
The Dik Dik is really exemplary of what fancy accommodation is like in Tanzania. Nothing super fancy, but everything is extremely nice. The grounds are somewhat spacious and filled with side by side bungalows. Each bungalow has a nice big veranda with sitting tables and a hammock. The rooms are, again, not super fancy but very very comfortable and you can tell that they didn't scrimp on the important things. There is an on site chef and the menu is varied and delicious and includes a decent selection of wines.

The Photos:
Moivaro Coffee Lodge bathroom Nice, clean, comfortable bathroom. I like the way sink area is laid out. To the right is a tiled walk in shower.

Moivaro Coffee Lodge dining area Here's the view from the outside looking in. Each room at the Dik Dik is a part of a double bungalow. Everyone gets their own view, sitting chairs and table. A perfect place to relax with a drink after a long day on the safari trail. On warm nights be sure to sway in the hammock for a bit after a day on safari.

Safari Dik Dik Hotel Tanzania And here is the view from the inside looking out.

Moivaro Coffee Lodge grounds The Dik Dik is a deer like creature about the size of a labrador retriever. They are skittish and like to keep away from just about everything. If you are lucky on your safari you will briefly see one in the wild before it scampers off. If not, you can come back and see the iron statues at the Dik Dik Hotel.
Safari Moivaro Coffee Lodge pool Here's the main veranda. You can have your meals here or inside. I love the Brazilian style tiling on the floor.

Safari Moivaro Coffee Lodge double room The rooms are very spacious and have vaulted wood ceilings.

Safari Moivaro Coffee Lodge bar It wouldn't be a hotel without a pool, right? That's the bar in the background and the retro sunbathing benches in the foreground.
