Arusha Coffee Lodge

The Basics:
There is a pool, of course, but that is the least of the attraction when staying at the Arusha Coffee Lodge.
The 18 individual detached bungalows at are too big and too nice to be called bungalows.
They are more like cottages. Each one is raised off the ground and is surrounded by coffee plants on all sides.
Arusha Coffee Lodge sits smack in the middle of a real functioning coffee plantation.
Sprinkled among the coffee are various native and imported trees.
Some of the trees are simply enormous and must be over 100 years old.
The Photos:

This is your view from your private porch.
If you like the idea of waking up to the smell of fresh growing coffee then this is the place for you.

Just in from the porch is your large and warm cottage room.
All African wood floors.
The bed is very comfortable.
There is a large closet for your clothes, wicker chairs, sitting bench, ceiling fan, lots of room to roam around.
To the left here is an inset fireplace.
To the right is your bathroom.

Here's the bathroom.
An interesting mix of coffee plantation and modern styling.
I think this is the only lodge I've visited that had recessed lighting in the bathroom.

And here's the fireplace.
That chair is very comfortable to sit in and read while being warmed by a fire after a day on safari.

The bar is very classy.
Practically everything is designed in wood.
Yes, that tree behind the bartender is real.

The bar's inside brick fireplace located in the middle of the room is a nice touch.
The chairs on the left of this photo face a wall which is made of glass and looks out onto...

...the tiled courtyard fountain and reflection pool.

Be sure to try their wood fired pizza. It's delicious.
